This half day session will provide a practical guide to the huge impact on safeguarding best practice that the new legislation will have. There will be clear explanation about the impact of the Protection of Freedoms Bill and parallel legislationand case law. It will demonstrate how the CRB are already tightening up their procedures relating to eligibility for disclosures and the sanctions that could start to be imposed. A key topic is how regulated activity has been re-defined and the importance of accurate job descriptions. THe workshop will include a session to help you review your organisation’s safeguarding policies and plan the action steps you can take. This briefing event will therefore help you understand the costs and impact on your organisation.
